Stage Strategy

This is the first stage where chaining is huge. In fact, this is one of the most chainable stages in the game. You can also cash in massively if you keep your medal chain alive to about 1/3rd throughout this stage.

It doesn't matter how you kill the first popcorn enemies; they're always worth 1000 points each. When you get to the large plane with the two turrets, kill the left one first and collect the medal dropped. Then go kill the right one and collect that medal. Once you've done that, you can kill the plane, since it will be impossible to carry the chain from the next section of turrets to the one after without a bomb (which you want to be saving up for the boats after that). Once you see the large turrets appear, stop shooting and wait for your Aura to charge up.

Once the turrets are fairly far down the screen (the further the better), you want to fire your charge shot into the turrets, with the two left streams hitting the left turret, and only one stream hitting the right. After a little bit you want to shift over so that both streams hit the turrets (this is to establish a chaining "order" where the left turrets die first; this sets up the next spot). You will then want to move slight over to the left (you should still be somewhat centered). After doing a bit of damage to all of the turrets, move more to the left so that you can kill the left-most turret. If you didn't chain into that turret, you took too long and/or you didn't wait long enough to kill the turrets before. You should then take out the other two turrets. Since you dealt some damage to them earlier, they will die quickly. After they die, stay near the center, but keep edging left, to damage the boats ahead a bit. After a bit of damage, drop a bomb over where the bottom-left-most small turret was to freeze the chain timer and set yourself up for the boats. If you place the bomb too far up, you will completely ruin the next part, so err on the side of too low.

Right after you place your bomb, stop shooting and Aura hit the 4 small turrets on the left boat. When each one dies it will drop a medal. Eventually your bomb should just barely "scroll" into the boat before burning out. Your Aura damage should eventually break the boat into two pieces. Wait a bit, then move down and Aura kill the bottom half of the boat (the longer you can wait, the better). After that, wait a bit more, and then start Aura hitting the top half of the boat. You should launch a bomb all the way up to the top of the screen BEFORE it can die (to freeze the chain timer at 120, and give you plenty of time to setup for the next boat.

After the bomb burns out (you can wait a bit), you will need to suicide to freeze the chain timer again (this lets the right boat continue ahead for even longer). When you respawn, you can wait a bit, but you need to drop a bomb before the timer runs out. You should drop it as far off to the left as possible. After you drop the bomb, go sit on top of the right boat and Aura hit the little turrets on him (just like with the left boat). Again like the left boat, Aura hit the bottom piece of the boat until it dies, the go Aura hit the top piece and drop a bomb (as far to the right as possible; you don't want to hit the center boat) and then kill the piece.

Just like last time, once the bomb burns out, you will want to suicide to freeze the timer and let the center boat move up a bit. Once you respawn, drop a bomb off to the far left of the screen, and go Aura kill the little turrets on the center boat. Wait a bit, then Aura kill the bottom piece. Start Aura hitting the top piece, and drop a bomb before it dies. Fly upwards, and suicide; if you timed everything right, parts of your explosion should hit the large plane at the top of the screen. When you respawn, drop a bomb on top of the large plane (doesn't matter if it's offset to the left or right, it's just really helpful to get the extra damage). After it dies, you will want to suicide again to freeze the timer to prepare for the next section.
